Lawrence, a barner of chaos from the edge and for more than a decade in Dallas, played in nine playoff games with only three wildcard wins to show his problems.

The cowboys are still trying to get past the division round for the first time since their last Super Bowl victory, which was led by a collection of talents that have long been used in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Both the Seahawks and the cowboys have without seasonal campaigns after the season, but Lawrence has made it clear that he sees Seattle as an option that brings him closer to success after the season.

The last season of the 32-year-old in Dallas was a short exit when he played in just four games due to a Lisfranc injury.

He will try to bring his best foot forward in 2025, as an additional piece to a talented Seahawks D-Line.

“I still have a lot in my tank, I definitely didn’t want to kick the bucket that early,” said Lawrence about his decision to continue playing.

Stephen Jones, Executive Vice President of Cowboys, spoke in February at the NFL Scouting Combine about Lawrence and indicated that Lawrence may have retired, and at the same time emphasized the plan of the organization as “selectively aggressive”. Obviously, Lawrence did not retire, and the crucial reason was just Lawrence when the freelance agency opened.

“I think the decisive factor was a few days ago, they shoot,” he said, “only these options that meet, people still believe in my kind of ball, people still want to see me in the field. If they want that, give them to them.”

An essential factor in landing Lawrence in Seattle was his defensive coordinator Aden Durde. Durde was the cowboys’ defensive line trainer from 2021-2023. The Pass -rusher believes that Durde can get the best out of him in what will probably be the last run of his career.

“To be honest, not most likely not,” said Lawrence when he was asked whether he would be a Seahawk without Durde, “just because I know his style, his system, what he is expecting from me. I know that he can help me turn back to the D-in-law that everyone knows.”

Durde offers Lawrence some comfort and familiarity. However, it is a big change, only in geography, since D-in-between parents of Texas changes to the Northwest’s Pacific.

“The main difference is, as you can see,”, “laughed Lawrence.

And of course the other big one in his thoughts is the chance of winning a super bowl.
