Nintendo confirmed on Thursday that it will release its highly anticipated successor to its Switch console in 2025 – and Dallas will be one of the first places to get a preview.

Nintendo – maker of popular titles like Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda – dropped the new console’s name, Switch 2, and released a video highlighting the new console’s external design features.

The video game maker also announced three US locations where it will host a “Switch 2 Experience”: New York, Los Angeles and Dallas.

The Dallas event will take place April 25-27 at the Embarcadero Building in Fair Park. Registration for the event begins on January 17th on the company’s website.

Nintendo announces that a random drawing for tickets to the event will take place among all registered players.

The event will take place April 4-6 in New York and April 11-13 in Los Angeles.

The Japanese game maker plans to reveal more details about the new console at its Nintendo Direct event on April 2nd.

Nintendo hasn’t released any new titles, but the teaser video previewed an apparent sequel to Mario Kart. The console will also be able to play both Nintendo Switch 2 and original Nintendo Switch games, it said .
