No. 1 Auburn overwhelmed Oklahoma

Johni Broome and Chad Baker-Mazara each scored 15 points when Auburn scored number 1 to 14 games with a 98:70 home win against Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Broome also stuffed the stat leaf with six assists, five rebounds, three blocks and three steals.

Denver Jones and Chaney Johnson each rose by 13 points, while Tahaad Pettiford brought 11 points for Auburn (21-1, 9-0 southeasters Conference).

Dayton Forsythe led Oklahoma (16-6, 3-6 seconds) with 13 points and Jalon Moore added 11 points. Jeremiah feared and Kobe Elvis each stepped 10.

Auburn had a 46-20 advantage for points in the color and they had six dunks. In defense, Auburn also controlled the color with 11 blocked shots, which were led by the six rejections of Dylan Cardwell.

The Inside Advantage of Tigers gave them a head start of 27-17 when Cardwell hit a street pass from Johnson at 10:57 a.m. in the first half.

It was not only in the color in which the tiger was successful. Auburn forced 15 sales, which led to 22 points. Auburn had seven sales.

Johnson’s theft led to Broome Baker-Mazara with a praise pass for a reverse layup and a lead of 34-24 Auburn with 6:45 in the first half.

Since the Sooners 10 out of 11 free throws, they held it nearby, even though they only shot 37 percent off the field and turned it over six times.

The tigers were on an 8: 3 run when Luke Northweather hit a wing 3 pointer to cut the deficit of the Sooners to 36-29 with 5:15 in half. His second triple came to a set game after a break and cut Auburn’s lead to 38-34.

Chris Moores Layup gave the Tigers a 44-34 half of the lead.

Auburn forced sales in successive possessions in Oklahoma and made a 6-0 run to start the second half when Baker-Mazara’s step-by-move farm ended the rally and led the Tigers a 50: 34 lead.

A 19: 5-daub gymnasium was covered with Johnson’s Teardrop Layup when the Tigers withdrew with a lead of 78-53 with 7:31.
