The Minnesota Timberwolves came on Thursday evening at the back of a back after an uninspiring appearance the evening before. The wolves went a lead of 37-24 in the second quarter. The highlight came from Anthony Edwards, who was a game decision to play. Edwards threw a highlight hinge slam over the native Chet Holmgren in Minneapolis.

Edwards ended with 23 points, eight rebounds and seven templates.

Jaylen Clark had his first start to the season instead of Gobert and he did an enormous job with Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who shot only 2 for 13 in the first half. Gilgeous-Aalexander, who ended with 24 points, nine templates and eight rebounds, only started in the third quarter when Clark embedded after picking up his fourth foul.

Clark had four points, three rebounds, two steals and one template.

Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels delivered an offensive blow and scored 27 and 21 points. Reid almost recorded a triple double, which also recorded 13 rebounds and seven assists. McDaniels had six rebounds and five templates.

Terrence Shannon Jr. was the sixth man on Wednesday evening and received his best of his season from the night before. He was active at both ends of the courtyard and was again a flash rod in the transition. Shannon scored a career high of 13 points and also added six rebounds and an assist. Luka Garza played some critical grandmother with Gobert Out and had one of his better defense exhibitions and at the same time set up eight points and eight rebounds.

Nickeil Alexander Walker knocked down four 3 hands and ended with 14 points.

After a brutal loss the night before, it was an excellent and unexpected performance of the wolves. With one of your best games of the season against the best of the NBA, you will get into the All-Star break.
