Texas goes two ots to slip the No. 14 in Texas A & M 94-89

Tre Johnson scored 20 points and Tramon Mark added 15 when Texas in his NCAA tournament in the second round of the SEC tournament in Kansas City, Mo.

Kadin Shedrick scored 14 points and Jordan Pope added 13 when the Longhorns (19-14) arrived against Tennessee on Friday in the second quarter-finals. Arthur Kaluma scored 12 points and chendall Weaver added 10 for Texas.

Texas won the game with five free throws in the last 37 seconds of the second OT, including two of Pope, 13 seconds. Texas A&M missed six shots from the floor and a free throw in the last two minutes.

Wade Taylor scored 29 points, while Manny Obaseki 17 was added for Texas A & M (22-10). Andersson Garcia scored 13 points with 10 rebounds, while Henry Coleman scored 10 points with 13 rebounds.

Five players foul from the game, including Mark and Weaver for Texas. Obaseki, Garcia and Solomon Washington have all exchanged for Texas A&M.

Texas A&M forced overtime to Coleman’s bucket with 31 seconds before the regulation. He was fouled in the play, but missed the free throw for a late lead. Mark missed a potential game winner at the end of the regulation for Texas.

Texas extended the game to a second extension when Mark Shedrick for a dark remained in the first OT with 5.4 seconds.

Texas led 33-27 in a defensive half in the first half in which no team shot better than 40 percent. Texas A&M rose in the second half with six 3-horsemen and 14 trials in 20 attempts to exceed Texas 46-40 to bring the game to OT.

The Longhorns only celebrated six sales in the 50 minutes of the season, while the Aggies had committed 13.

Texas together shot 54.5 percent in the two overtime, while the defense of the Longhorns came through the coupling in the clutch by holding 18.8 percent in both OTS Texas A&M. The Aggies made 27 free throws, but only shot 67.5 percent from the line.

Despite a rebound advantage of 53-40, Texas A&M lost.
