Estonia and Finland are both convinced allies of another man who was present – Zelensky, who looked dark in the Vatican. He was sitting in the same row as Macron, separated from some other dignitaries.

Zelensky, who had been locked up in negotiations and public arguments in the past few weeks, was only 10 seats and a gear from him in the same row.

Shortly before the funeral began, the couple was locked in deep discussions.

The White House described the 15-minute meeting as “very productive”, while Zelensky said it was “very symbolic” and “has the potential to become historical”.
