Where will Justus Terry commit on Early National Signing Day?

Where will Justus Terry commit on Friday on the final day of Early National Signing Day between Georgia and Auburn?

Early National Signing Day began on Wednesday and the vast majority of major prospects have already signed or committed to their school of choice. However, one big name in the class is still available and he is expected to announce his decision on Friday.

Defensive lineman Justus Terry is ranked as a five-star prospect, the 10th best player in the country, the second best defensive lineman and the third best player in the state of Georgia, according to the composite rankings. It appears his decision comes down to two schools: Georgia and Auburn. So which program is likely to attract the blue-chip candidate?

Georgia felt like the favorite in most recruiting. He left Georgia back in March and then committed to USC, but decommitted from the Trojans later that summer, making his recruitment possible again. However, Auburn has entered the mix, receiving an official visit from Terry in November and is now a contender in this competition.

The Bulldogs are still in a good position to sign Terry, but him delaying his decision until Friday could make things interesting. The Tigers were missing some high-profile additions this week, including names like Na’eem Offord, who ultimately decided to transfer to Oregon, but the Tigers pushed hard for a move. This is worth noting because the assets the Tigers were looking to use to bring in other big names in the class could now be funneled into efforts to sign Terry.

The bottom line is that there is a way for Georgia to land Terry and leave no one surprised, and there is a way for Auburn to make a strong final push and secure the commitment of the five-star prospect from Georgia – certainly a way to do so should continue to keep an eye on the final spurt.
